INTRODUCTION

For the 3rd year, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) & Borneo Highlands Resort (BHR) jointly organise the BHR Padawan Nature Challenge.

The BHR Padawan Nature Challenge 2010 is a cycling and trekking adventure with competition categories for experts, amateurs and those who loves the nature and environment.

The Challenge gives an opportunity for nature lovers and adventurous individuals to be close to Mother Nature and to experience the environmental and adventure tourism aspects of Padawan (Including Borneo Highlands Resort).

OBJECTIVES

• To promote the interest for nature, adventure, sports and healthy lifestyle to the general public.

• To promote Padawan area (including Borneo Highlands Resort) as a place for eco-adventure tourism.

• To promote and encourage collaboration between public and private sector to promote eco-tourism in Sarawak.

EVENT CATEGORIES & PARTICIPATION FEE

1. MPP Chairman Challenge Trophy (Open) – RM250 per team of two persons
10KM Cycling (Annah Rais Longhouse to Borneo Highlands Resort Plateau) & 15KM Trekking (within the Resort)

2. Malta Penrissen Summit Trekking Challenge (Open) – RM100 per team of two persons
15KM Trekking (within Borneo Highlands Resort)

3. Batu Panggah Trekking Challenge (Open) – RM100 per team of two persons
10KM Trekking (within Borneo Highlands Resort)

4. Kalimantan View Trekking Challenge (Ladies) – RM100 per team of two persons
10KM Trekking (within Borneo Highlands Resort)\

- All participants will be insured and presented with a Certificate of Participation.

- 50% off for fulltime students team- Verifications required (Student card/Principal verification)

- The event is open to all participants of the age 18 years and above; two persons per team.

- Closing date extended to 30th June 2010 (Wednesday) by 5:00pm.

• 4th Position RM 500 cash prize

• 6th Position RM 300 cash prize
• 7th to 10th Position RM 200 cash prize

Trekking Group I (Open)
• Champion RM 1000 cash prize & medal
• 1st Runner-up RM 600 cash prize & medal
• 2nd Runner-up RM 400 cash prize & medal
• 4th to 7th position RM 200 cash prize
• 8th to 10th position RM 100 cash prize

Trekking Group II (Open)
• Champion RM 800 cash prize & medal
• 1st Runner-up RM 400 cash prize & medal
• 2nd Runner-up RM 200 cash prize & medal
• 4th to 7th position RM 100 cash prize
• 8th to 10th position RM 50 cash prize

Trekking Group III (Ladies)
